Check this before buying another charger
- Read the port labels
The included cable needs a USB-C port on the power adapter. An older USB-A brick cannot accept it without changing the cable or adapter.
- Check wattage and USB-PD
Apple’s general fast-charge guidance accepts a comparable third-party USB-C adapter that supports USB Power Delivery. For the Duo-specific 20-minute claim, use the 60W-capable condition in the specifications.
- Choose wired or MagSafe
Do not buy both by accident. Wired fast charging uses the included USB-C cable; MagSafe requires a separate MagSafe Charger and a suitable adapter.
- Keep the claim in context
Apple tests from a drained battery under controlled conditions. Settings, temperature, adapter, cable, and use during charging can change the result.
If charging is slower than expected
